Tips&TricksTuesday!
Hello all. Today, planned to share about few basic tips to take better pictures using our smartphones.
Who doesn't love to take pictures these days? "Likes and Hearts" have become as one of the important thing in our generation! hopefully, these basic tips which you might know by now but still might help to keep the memories not only forever but better!
Better Photos!
- First of all, learn about your phone's plus and minus in camera.
- It is always good to use the grid line feature if you are a beginner and in grid lines, make sure the picture's center attraction is at the intersection of both vertical and horizontal lines.
- Try not to use edits before taking the picture. adding effects after taking the picture is always better and also choose what application to use for editing.
- Try not to zoom. you're almost always best served by pretending it doesn't exist. your image noticeably degrade when you start to zoom. The camera is basically guessing what the image looks like(extrapolating)
- Prefer cropping. When you're cropping, however, you're actually just sampling pixel info that was actually recorded. Many smartphones have 5MP or more That means you can crop and still have good resolution picture.
- Don't Add Fake Blur. it completely ruins the picture.
- Clean your lenses time to time. it may not look dirty but it might make the picture hazy and dark.
- Watch for the lens flare. sometimes this makes the picture to look good too.
- Keeping a steady hand is vital to capturing a clear image. It is especially important if you are shooting in low-light situations. One useful trick is to lean your camera phone against a solid object, then tap the button.
- Try to choose new angle. this will give different perspective to the picture.
- Never stick to a single style. Some pictures can look even more good in other edits.
- Your volume button or using the head set button for taking pictures can give you more steady pictures.
- In the bright places, look out for the shadows. Shadows can make even a mundane picture look interesting.
- Take many pictures so that you don't miss your perfect shot/moment.
- Making collages of the picture is the best way to make your picture tell story.
- Try to come out of the auto mode. Camera runs on the algorithm and it doesn't know much about "artistic judgement". More control you take, more awesome the picture is.
- Learn to edit your pictures. not simply adding those filters but adjusting the brightness, contrast and saturation.
- Watch out for the distracting background. with so many objects in different colors in a picture, it is very distracting. In that case, prefer B&W.
- In some cases, we will be in need of those background. for this, get down low and take the picture with sky as backdrop.
- Prefer HDR.
- Avoid direct sunlight on your subject. Make your subject to stand in brightest patch of shade possible.
- By mastering the technique of panning, you can create some very cool images. To do this, hold the camera phone with both hands—for steadiness—and frame the approaching subject on the LCD. Move the camera at the same speed as the subject, thus freezing the subject while the background is blurred through motion.
- Anticipate shutter lag. Get used to your camera phone’s timing that when you need to press the shutter release to capture the most interesting moment.
- Direct eye contact can be as engaging in a picture as it is in real life. When taking a picture of someone, hold the camera at the person's eye level to unleash the power of those magnetic gazes and mesmerizing smiles.
- For children and pets, that means stooping to their level. Your subject doesn't have to stare at the camera - all by itself that eye level angle will create a personal and inviting feeling that pulls you into the picture.
