So far- In Sports

England is the place to be as far as the sports are concerned in the month of June and July.  With so many tournaments happening, here is the gist of what had happened this week in sports. I cover three sports in major, and the Indian achievements. Hopefully, I cover more in the future. Normally this is something I update on Sunday but I had to wait for the Asian Championships to get over. so, Here it goes.  These are the matches that happened in the past week: (3 July- 10 July) Cricket: Women: ICC WORLD CUP:  Match 1 India vs Srilanka.  India beats Srilanka by 16 runs. India women-232/8. Deepti Sharma 78. Mithali Raj 53. SS Weerakkody-3 wickets. Chasing 233 to win, Srilanka ended with 216/7 in 50 overs. Manodara-61. Here are the few sports updates that happened in this week.  Boxing:   Jeff Horn shocks his idol Manny Pacquiao to win Welterweight title in a controversial decision.  Badminton: Australian open super series:  MEN'S SINGLES : Kidambi Srikanth def Chen Long by 22-20,21-16.  WOMEN'S SINGLES : Nozomi Okuhara def Akane Yamaguchi by 21-12,21-23,21-17. WOMEN'S DOUBLES : Misaki/Ayaka def Kamilla/Christinna by 21-10,21-13. MEN'S DOUBLES : Kamura/Sonoda def Setiawan/Tan by 21-17, 21-19. MIXED DOUBLES : Zheng/Chen def Jordon/Susanto by 18-21,21-14,21-17. Cricket (June 26-July 2):  MEN: Zimbabwe in Srilanka Zimbabwe wins by 6 wickets.
